Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Driver to join our team as a Regional Truck Driver. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination and delivering freight to customers across the eastern United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport freight to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, including hours of service and weight limits
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Load and unload freight as needed, using manual pallet jacks and lift gates
  • Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers to coordinate routes and schedules
  • Participate in Ryder's safety program to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
  • Class A CDL with endorsements for Hazmat and Doubles/Triples
  • At least 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
