The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered nurse who plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the outpatient services department. This position requires a collaborative approach to care, working closely with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Prescribe, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
- Participate in cross-functional training to develop skills and knowledge in various areas of the facility.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required; Associate's degree accepted, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred.
- Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing; valid driver's license preferred.
- Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
- CPR certification and successful completion of the hospital's designated behavioral and physical management training program, including de-escalation and appropriate use of seclusion and restraint, required prior to assisting in procedures.
