About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Staff RN. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for coordinating care delivery interventions for approximately 25 residents in assigned areas, operating within scope of practice, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess residents' needs and manage treatments
  • Distribute and administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing protocols
  • Participate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care delivery
  • Makes rounds to ensure care delivery meets quality standards and restorative protocols
  • Utilize infection control techniques to prevent the spread of infection
  • Observe vital signs and hydration status to detect deviations from normal limits
  • Assist in receiving, transcribing, and implementing physician's orders
  • Request diagnostic and therapeutic services as ordered by physicians
  • Order prescribed medications and requisition supplies and equipment
  • Record residents' responses to treatments/medications and report changes in condition
  • Document daily reports, intake/output, medication renewals, and incidents
  • Report discrepancies in physician's orders, diet changes, and charting errors to supervisor and Dining Services department

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a 2-year accredited nursing diploma school or Bachelor's Degree in nursing
  • One year of experience in nursing/long-term care preferred
  • Ability to operate a computer, Internet, and basic office equipment
  • NCLEX-RN, active RN license, CPR certification
  • Special knowledge and skills in pharmacology, treatments, elderly issues, dementia, various diseases, side effects, cultures, religions, patient interfaces, WiFis, pagers, point click care, sit to stand, Hoyer lift, gait belt, and English language proficiency
