We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join Crosslin Building Supply Inc. as a Lumber Yard Inventory & Audit Specialist.
OverviewCrosslin Building Supply Inc. is a leading supplier of building materials, and we are looking for a skilled professional to oversee the accuracy of our inventory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to ensure that our quantity, quality, and labeling meet our organization's standards and customer specifications.
Responsibilities:- Maintain consistent stock levels and understand minimum and maximum inventory quantities.
- Assess inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of restocking.
- Understand our inventory system and share information and improvements with the department under the direction of the Inventory Control Manager.
- Maintain accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
- Analyze and identify root causes of problems in our inventory system.
- Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
- Assist with periodic (annual) physical inventory audits.
- Operate a forklift truck when necessary.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $50,000 - $60,000, depending on experience. Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with computerized inventory systems required.
- Forklift operator certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Proficient keyboarding skills.
- Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
