Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead System Reliability Engineer to join our team at ADP. As a key member of our NAS Engineering organization, you will be responsible for enhancing our cutting-edge tools offerings in the public cloud.

The ideal candidate will have broad industry experience working in a mix of on-prem and public cloud footprints, with hands-on experience across product development, operations, and leveraging public and private cloud managed services.

You will lead the development of industry-standard control planes that expose a GITOPS, UI, and API interface to consume managed services across private and public cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to building industry-standard control planes
  • Write Kubernetes controllers and operators to act on CRDs reflecting resource definition files exposed to end users
  • Leverage existing Ansible playbooks, Terraform templates, and CloudFormation stacks to build the control plane
  • Identify, define, and request APIs needed from partner teams to successfully implement the control plane
  • Document and socialize enhancements to the control plane and new services exposed via the control plane
  • Contribute to tools to establish an inner-sourcing culture of transparency and collaboration
  • Implement pipelines to ensure managed service quality and uptime is preserved at all times
  • Collaborate with on-prem core compute, storage, network architects to commoditize infrastructure services to build meaningful platform managed services

Requirements:

  • 10-12 years of total experience
  • At least 3 years of recent industry experience as a hands developer in a hybrid cloud space
  • Experience with public cloud migrations and a Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science
