Michigan Sugar Company is seeking a highly skilled MDS Technician 1 to join our team at the Bay City Factory. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the process and maintenance work involved in the Chromatographic Separation Process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating and optimizing the Chromatographic Separation Process
  • Rebuilding and maintaining pumps and valves
  • Maintaining and adjusting heat exchangers
  • Changing and re-clothing filters
  • Maintaining all separators and operating the softening system
  • Completing work orders and documenting performed maintenance
Requirements:
  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation training is a plus
  • Mechanical experience and process knowledge
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and guidance
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
