MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in a reputable healthcare facility.
Job Responsibilities- Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes.
- Position patients correctly for CT scans, using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
- Set and monitor equipment controls, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal image quality.
- Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast media if required.
- Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans and assist with interventional CT procedures.
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and label them appropriately.
- Schedule patients for procedures and perform some clerical functions.
- Charge procedures and supplies used to patient records.
- Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration.
- Deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
- Maintain a safe work environment for staff and patients, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
- Eighteen months of prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Technologist.
- Must be ARRT (CT) or ASRT certified.
- Most states require licensure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
