We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Community Veterinary Partners. As a Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting veterinarians with exams, setting up patient appointments, taking thorough histories, and obtaining vital signs. You will also be responsible for routine nail trims, blood draws, anal gland expression, radiology, and surgical assisting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting veterinarians with exams and procedures
  • Setting up patient appointments and taking thorough histories
  • Routine nail trims, blood draws, and anal gland expression
  • Radiology and surgical assisting
  • Medication preparation and administration
  • Preparing vaccinations and laboratory samples
  • Organizing and restocking exam rooms and treatment areas

Qualifications:

  • State of New York Veterinary Technician License preferred but not required
  • Motivated to maintain our standards of excellent client services and high-quality patient care
  • Team player with exceptional client service and communication skills
  • At least 1-year of veterinary experience preferred
  • Veterinary software experience is a plus
