Job Summary:

Latham Pool Products is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pilot Escort to join our team. As a Pilot Escort, you will be responsible for safely escorting our fiberglass swimming pools to their final destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort CDL Driver: Read and follow state permits to safely escort the CDL driver to the destination.
  • Communicate with Driver: Properly communicate with the CDL driver on traffic and other obstacles.
  • Maintain Vehicle: Keep the vehicle clean inside and out.
  • Pass State Certifications: Pass state certifications on all states that require certification.
  • Assist Driver: Assist the driver with pool tie down.
  • Complete Training: Complete annual defensive driving training.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License: Have a valid driver's license.
  • Clean Driving Record: Have a clean driving record.
  • Standard Transmission: Be able to drive a standard transmission.
  • GPS Navigation: Be able to use a GPS system and make changes within suggested routes.
  • Overnight Travel: Be able to travel overnight and sometimes several nights.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Be able to read and follow all regulations regarding escorting.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this position include prolonged sitting/driving and lifting up to forty (40) pounds.
