This role is for a registered nurse specializing in emergency care at a 198-bed, level III trauma facility. The center is equipped with advanced surgical suites and provides comprehensive healthcare services to the Four Corners region, including New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah.

Job Specifications:
Required Certifications:
ACLS, PALS, BLS (from the American Heart Association), TNCC
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a relevant nursing role.
Work Schedule:
Shifts are variable, including 10am-10pm, 12pm-12am, and 3pm-3am, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Weekend Commitment:
Minimum of two weekends per schedule.
Call Requirements:
No on-call duties.
Unit Details:
Floor: Emergency Department
Trauma Level: 3
Open Positions: 1
Bed Capacity: 48 with flexible space
Patient Ratios: 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track.
Equipment Utilized:
Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and Istat POC, Ultrasound Guided.
Patient Demographics:
Experience with patients suffering from ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, and Psychiatric conditions is essential.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Moderate Sedation is highly regarded.
Common Diagnoses:
ESRD, Substance Abuse Disorders, Psychological Disorders, COPD, CHF, Abdominal Pain, Chest Pain.
Educational Requirements:
RN ADN is mandatory.
Additional Information:
This position operates under a team nursing and pod system, with a social worker assigned to the department and a unit educator available for support.
