Position Overview:

Under general supervision, this role involves diagnosing, servicing, and installing plumbing systems in residential and light-commercial settings. The technician ensures compliance with relevant codes and standards while assembling, installing, or repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures related to heating, water, or drainage systems. Effective communication with customers is essential to address inquiries, resolve issues, and guarantee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues in a professional and timely manner, preventing future problems.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including replacing defective components and clearing blockages.
  • Assemble and install piping systems using various tools and techniques.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine installation requirements.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify leaks and ensure system integrity.
  • Direct and oversee the work of assistants in plumbing tasks.
  • Maintain company tools and vehicles, ensuring they are properly stocked and accounted for.
  • Stay updated on plumbing codes and regulations, maintaining necessary licenses.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Report unsafe conditions and practices to management immediately.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment as required.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and report any incidents promptly.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with formal training in plumbing.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in plumbing repair and installation.
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
