New England Cancer Specialists is a private medical practice composed of 18 oncologists and hematologists serving the region from five separate locations in Maine and New Hampshire.

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Vice President of Finance to oversee our financial operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and healthcare management.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading the development of the practice's financial strategies and policies.
  • Directing and presenting financial reports and forecasts to senior leaders.
  • Participating in the development of the practice's cash flow, liquidity, and other financial policies.
  • Responsible for the timely preparation of the annual budget.
  • Developing company guidelines and providing financial analysis and guidance for effective contract negotiation.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A graduate degree (MBA) or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation highly desired.
  • 8-10 years of financial professional experience, with at least 5 years at the senior level in a healthcare practice.
  • Oncology experience highly preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles and experience with industry reporting and regulations.
