Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Coordinator to join our team at Portzen Construction, Inc. in Dubuque, IA. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for processing weekly payroll, accounts payable, and performing various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll using Sage 100 accounting software
  • File Federal and State payroll taxes
  • Manage child support, garnishments, and 401k disbursements
  • Maintain union reports and perform other administrative payroll tasks as needed
  • Accurately enter daily accounts payable into Sage 100 software
  • Prepare lien waivers for subcontractors and suppliers
  • File invoices in job files and assist with miscellaneous accounting tasks as required

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in payroll or accounting
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Construction experience preferred but not required
  • Sage 100 experience preferred but not required
