Job Title: Medical Authorization Specialist

Job Summary:

North American Staffing Group, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Authorization Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Authorization Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the authorization process for medical services, ensuring timely and accurate processing of requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and verify all necessary documentation for prior authorization requests
  • Communicate with healthcare providers and patients to obtain required information
  • Process and track authorization requests in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless processing of requests
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
  • Identify and report trends and issues related to authorization processing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of authorization requests

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare administration or a related field
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EMR experience
  • Health insurance experience and general knowledge
