Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at Meliora Academy. As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, data-driven instruction to students with complex learning profiles and secondary co-occurring needs.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through ASHA. They will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a school setting with students who have language-based learning differences. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the IEP process and the collection of progress monitoring data.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality, data-driven instruction to students aligned with the school's mission and philosophy.
  • Differentiate sessions and curriculum to support students' learning styles and current achievement levels.
  • Cultivate open and positive lines of communication with students, teachers, and parents regarding academic, social, and emotional progress and development.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through ASHA.
  • Valid Connecticut state and school licensure or eligible for license to practice in the state of Connecticut.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a school setting with students who have language-based learning differences.
  • Familiarity with the IEP process and the collection of progress monitoring data.
