Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Game Design and Simulation courses at Lone Star College. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital software media, computer science, or a related field, and 3 years of nonteaching work experience in the field or industry certification.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material, submitting required college reports and forms in a timely manner, and utilizing a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.

The Adjunct Faculty member will also be expected to meet with and advise students, evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives, and maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Game Design and Simulation courses at a variety of times and locations

  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in digital software media, computer science, computer information systems, computer engineering, computer information technology, or computer based information systems, instructional technology or related field
  • 3 years nonteaching work experience in the field or industry certification
