In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing resident care management and guiding staff to ensure that we meet or surpass Buckner's standards of quality, service, and hospitality. Key Responsibilities:- Adhere to and implement individual health care plans; administer or oversee treatments as prescribed by medical professionals.
- Administer injections and conduct in-house testing; monitor and document vital signs accurately.
- Conduct thorough rounds with residents, utilizing health care plans; collaborate with physicians and ensure timely documentation of visits.
- Maintain and update health care plans as per schedule; document any acute episodes or significant changes in resident conditions.
- Supervise nursing aides in their duties, assigning tasks and managing schedules effectively.
- Ensure accurate preparation and administration of prescribed medications.
- Manage medication orders and refills; administer initial doses and document appropriately.
- Oversee charting during your shift and evaluate resident documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Identify and respond to significant changes in resident health, taking appropriate actions as directed by the Director of Nursing.
- Supervise dietary provisions and fluid intake for residents; communicate unresolved issues to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Engage professionally with resident families, addressing inquiries and concerns with care.
- Complete focused assessments and discharge documentation accurately and promptly.
- Intervene in resident disputes or behavioral issues to maintain a harmonious and safe environment.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all care provided.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, fostering strong working relationships.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and possession of a valid nursing license in Texas.
- Previous experience in long-term care settings is preferred.
