Job Title: Diesel Mechanic II/IAH

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic II/IAH to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various ground support equipment, including vehicles and machinery.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment, including vehicles and machinery
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in ground support equipment
  • Operate a range of tools and equipment for repair and maintenance tasks
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures when performing maintenance work
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
  • Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repair needs
  • Coordinate with the equipment management team for maintenance schedules and priorities
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations in handling and disposing of hazardous materials
  • Assist in the inspection and testing of equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency
  • Stay updated with technical knowledge and skills through ongoing training and certifications
  • Provide technical support and advice to ground support staff
  • Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the maintenance area
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance procedures and practices
Requirements:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Physical Demands:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds or more
  • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
