Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Diesel Mechanic to repair and maintain our fleet of trucks, trailers, and other vehicles. The successful candidate will have a strong background in diesel maintenance and repair, with a focus on ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine vehicles to determine the extent of damage or malfunctions
- Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors
- Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined and other potentially troublesome areas
- Plan work procedures using charts, technical manuals, and experience
- Communicate with drivers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services
- Repair manual and automatic transmissions
- Replace and adjust headlights
- Comply with all safety, DOT, and OSHA guidelines
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year recent medium/heavy diesel maintenance experience
- Must have own hand tools
- Basic computer skills
- CDL license preferred
- Good driving record and proven work history
- Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold temperatures
- Diagnostic experience is a plus
