School Crossing Guard

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented School Crossing Guard to join our team at the City of Wildwood, FL. As a School Crossing Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of children and pedestrians in our community.

• Supervise and guide pedestrian traffic at designated locations to ensure a safe and orderly flow of traffic.
• Manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic during peak school hours, including managing the safe crossing of children, cyclists, and motorists.
• Utilize signs, hand signals, flags, and instincts to control car and foot traffic conditions.
• Report any traffic violations or suspicious behavior to your supervisor.
• Assist children in entering and leaving school property or crossing other assigned intersections.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have a Florida Driver's License.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Certification through the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Crossing Guard program or ability to obtain certification.
• Pass a law enforcement/school background check and drug screening.
