Diagnostic Radiology Technologist

Corewell Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to join our team at Royal Oak Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical imaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Verify patient identification and physician orders, and acquire accurate patient histories.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and provide education on exam procedures.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment, following policy for malfunctions and quality control failures.
  • Minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self, adhering to ALARA standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide exceptional care.
  • Contribute to the effective operations of the department, assisting colleagues and staying in compliance with quality assurance and quality control.
  • Utilize hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules, and sending information to PACS.
  • Assist in the training of students and new hires, maintaining competency in all assigned areas.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
  • Current CRT-Radiographer (R) registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
