Job Title: Direct Support Staff

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Staff to join our team at Network Human Services. As a Direct Support Staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct resident care, including activities of daily living, socialization, and development of meaningful interpersonal relationships.
  • Participate in routine residence maintenance, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Document resident and residence electronic health records, including periodic status assessments, daily task analysis charts, and ongoing inter-staff communication.
  • Participate in meal preparation, as needed, and assigned.
  • Attend staff in-service and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on policies and procedures.
  • Observe and respect residents' rights and other relevant legislation.
  • Work collaboratively as a team member, maintaining confidentiality and resident record confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Medication certification and First Aid, CPR, PMT, Abuse/Neglect, and DDS Medication Administration training.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Valid Connecticut Driver's License and eligibility for Network, Inc.'s auto insurance.
  • Physical ability to assist residents when necessary.

Work Schedule:

Part-time, over 20 hours/week, with varying shifts including Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
