We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Med Tech to join our team at Senior Living Communities. As a Med Tech, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care services and maintaining accurate records of personal health care activities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, transporting, and transfers.
- Assist with dining services, including escorting, transferring, ordering, serving, feeding, meal preparation, and clean up.
- Provide housekeeping services, including bed making, trash removal, laundry, room and bathroom cleaning as needed, and requests from residents.
- Lead and assist with life enrichment activities, including activities, craft/game groups, life skills, daily pleasures, and one-on-one interaction.
- Escort residents to scheduled programming and participate in outings and/or day trips.
- Take and record vital signs and weights as ordered or required by regulations.
- Administer prescription medications at the appropriate times for assigned units during shifts.
- Participate in and attend all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
- State Certification as a Nursing Assistant and Med Tech.
- Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar healthcare position preferred.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrates current and ongoing competence in tasks assigned, indicating a specialized skill in this area above and beyond the average.
- Communication: Demonstrates an ability to effectively and regularly transfer information to necessary parties to improve the quality of work and provide the supervisor with actionable, accurate data.
- Initiative: Is self-motivated and personally competitive, seeking additional work when capacity allows.
- Flexibility: Adapts quickly to changing conditions and navigates obstacles with ease and professionalism.
- Interpersonal Skills: Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming, and remains open to ideas and tries new things.
