Job Title: Psychiatrist

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced psychiatrist to join our team at Northern California Behavioral Health System. As a Psychiatrist, you will provide clinical oversight and work closely with our multidisciplinary treatment team to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans, including prescription of psychotropic medications.
  • Monitor and evaluate treatment results, making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians, mental health therapists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Supervise the work of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners.
Requirements:
  • Valid CA medical license (Psychiatrist)
  • Board certified or board eligible
  • Valid DEA certificate
  • 2 years' experience working full-time as a psychiatrist
  • Competency restoration and/or forensics experience preferred
Working Environment:

Our hospital is a 117-bed free-standing psychiatric hospital located in Sacramento, California. We have six inpatient units, including two general adult units and four competency restoration units. Our team is dedicated to providing a safe and structured working environment, with a focus on patient-centered care.
