Role of the High School Physics Educator
The High School Physics Educator will contribute to the mission and educational philosophy of Access Educational Advisors, LLC by designing and facilitating learning experiences that promote the intellectual, emotional, physical, and social development of students. This role is crucial in helping students acquire the skills and competencies necessary for success in society.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct students on fundamental principles of matter and energy.
- Guide students in mastering concepts related to motion, forces, and gravity.
- Design and implement laboratory experiments to enhance understanding of theoretical concepts.
- Prepare students for advanced studies in STEM fields.
- Create and execute lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Ensure a safe and organized classroom environment.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Build and maintain effective communication with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student success.
- Uphold safety and security protocols for all individuals on campus.
- Maintain accurate records for student attendance and progress.
- Supervise common areas such as hallways and lunchrooms.
- Engage in professional development through meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in high school science education.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess at least a Bachelor's degree and appropriate certification. Candidates should hold a Certificate of Eligibility, with guidance available for obtaining full certification in New Jersey. A valid New Jersey teaching certificate or proof of passing the required PRAXIS tests is expected. Applicants must demonstrate cultural awareness, effective communication skills with diverse populations, mastery of subject content, teamwork capabilities, high expectations for student achievement, and a foundational understanding of child development.
