Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our team at our York, NE production facility. As a Production Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of process equipment to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Ensure compliance with quality plan work instructions and quality plan requirements.
  • Collect and record data for continuous improvement projects and production records.
  • Support preventative maintenance and other general repair efforts.
  • Assist with warehousing activities, including forklift operation.
  • Use automation and computerized systems to perform work tasks.
  • Perform field management activities, including scouting, field maintenance, logistical planning, and maintaining relationships with external partners.
  • Assist with harvest activities, including preparation, seed sampling, truck unloading, and other relevant processes.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or two-year trade school degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, such as 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Standardized Work.
  • Experience with WMS and SAP/ERP systems.
  • Forklift operation experience.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
