Job Description

At Spectraforce Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Network Operations Center (NOC), you will be responsible for maintaining a reliable, secure, and efficient wired and wireless data communications network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain wireless network equipment, including routers, switches, and access points.
  • Troubleshoot network issues to prevent downtime and ensure high network performance.
  • Develop and implement plans to address consistent wireless network problems and improve network efficiency.
  • Collaborate with vendors and network managers on implementation and deployment of network solutions.
  • Install and manage firewalls and other network security protections to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Train in-house staff on wireless technologies and provide technical support as needed.
  • Conduct site surveys to identify network infrastructure needs and implement solutions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a network engineer role with a strong background in wireless networking.
  • Hands-on experience with networking, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of wi-fi network infrastructures.
  • Experience with Cisco wireless LAN controllers, implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
  • Ability to set up and configure network devices, such as access points.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Cisco training and certifications, such as CCNA, CCIE Wireless, and CCNP, are highly desired.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or related field.
  • 5-8 years of directly related professional work experience.
  • Candidate must have current driver's license and be able to lift 40lbs and stand or walk for long periods of time.
