Operating Room Nurse

Rightsourcing | Pikeville Health is seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse to join their team in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Job Summary:The Operating Room Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This includes assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients pre-operatively and post-operatively to identify potential complications and develop strategies for prevention and management.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nurses, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Provide education to patients and families on post-operative care and recovery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- RN license required; CPR certification required.
- 2 years of experience in operating room nursing; 5 years preferred.
- Travel experience required.
