Job Summary

Role: System Integration Engineer

Location: Fremont, CA

We're seeking an experienced System Integration Engineer to join our dynamic startup and disrupt mobility and living space. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, bringing up, testing, and debugging various electrical components and software integration on bench and directly within the vehicle. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to ensure successful integration and validation of vehicle systems.

This role requires a strong understanding of automotive engineering principles, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for the electrification and development of cutting-edge vehicle technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the buildout, bring-up, and maintenance of Pebble's HIL Benches
  • Generate and execute FMEA tests for various features and functions in the vehicle
  • Collaborate with software teams on bring-up and integration of electrical systems on bench and in the vehicle
  • Conduct detailed analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve integration issues ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Support manufacturing builds and issue resolution during vehicle production
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including integration plans, test procedures, and engineering specifications
  • Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations to improve the integration process and overall vehicle performance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, automotive engineering, or related field
  • 5+ Years of experience in integrating and/or testing vehicles
  • Proven experience in integration and testing, preferably within the automotive industry
  • Proficiency in using test equipment, data acquisition systems, and diagnostics tools
  • Familiarity with standard automotive protocols such as CAN and LIN
  • Understanding of standard electric vehicle components such as OBC's, Batteries, BMS, Electronic Control Units, etc...
  • Experience in developing and delivering high-quality testing on tight deadlines
  • Understanding of electro-mechanical parts such as electronic locks, valves, relays, etc
  • Ability to install/uninstall equipment on vehicles and test benches
  • Comfortable working on high voltage systems
