Mental Health Program Lead with IDD Expertise

At Resources For Human Development, we are committed to providing stability and preventing disruptive crises in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health needs. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in achieving this mission as a Program Director for our START program in Allegheny County.
We offer a competitive annual salary of $87,000, plus a sign-on bonus of $2,000. This comprehensive benefits package includes medical, eye, and dental coverage for qualifying staff, retirement savings plan, generous paid time off, and on-the-job training.
About the Role- As a Program Director, you will oversee the creation of an environment conducive to providing services for individuals supported by the program.
- You will provide supervision to ensure adherence to program regulations and collaborate with community service systems.
- Develop and monitor programs using metrics to ensure quality staff support, oversight, and development throughout the program.
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, evaluation, and disciplinary processes for all employees.
This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining a values-based and trauma-informed environment for all. You will work closely with our HR Team to ensure program staffing vacancies are filled promptly.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field, along with 2 years' experience working with people with IDD and mental health needs. A certified START Coordinator certification is highly preferred but not required.
