Position Overview:

The Senior Administrator for Product Testing plays a crucial role in executing development projects aimed at creating functional prototypes that will evolve into production ATV/SxS vehicles. This position involves researching and implementing new technologies to meet business objectives while ensuring global vehicle product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop specifications for components and systems of ATV/SxS prototype vehicles that meet concept targets, functional requirements, and manufacturing standards with minimal supervision. Communicate specification requirements and manufacturing control points effectively through prototype and production drawings, and prepare comprehensive test summaries.
  • Establish performance targets to meet vehicle concepts and competitiveness. Validate specification targets, requirements, components, and complete vehicles with limited oversight. Maintain accurate technical, development, and administrative documentation as necessary.
  • Manage individual work schedules to ensure deadlines are met, communicate resource needs and concerns with supervisors, and efficiently utilize contractor resources with minimal supervision. Provide real-time project status updates and participate in project meetings and development events.
  • Generate innovative ideas that contribute to the advancement of new technologies. Support the maturation of these ideas for development applications with minimal supervision.
  • Address market quality themes by employing problem-solving techniques to identify root causes. Develop and implement C/M specifications as needed with limited supervision.

Qualifications:

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Minimum Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably within the powersports sector.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient data acquisition and laboratory techniques.
  • Strong understanding of development project cycles and milestones.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities, along with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to create and manage plans and schedules.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Additional Position Details:

Travel: Up to 10% may be required based on project demands, including potential international travel.

Physical Requirements: Primarily desk work, with some tasks in a lab or test vehicle environment. Frequent keyboarding, kneeling, standing, reaching, squatting, bending, pushing, and lifting may be necessary. Some physical effort is required (e.g., pushing over 50 pounds; lifting 25–50 pounds).

Hazards: Typical office and shop environment risks, including exposure to explosives, flammable materials, pressurized equipment, toxic chemicals, and moving parts.

Overtime: Overtime may be necessary based on project demands.
