Job Title: Recreational Therapist

Job Summary:
Bradford Health Services is seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team. As a Recreational Therapist, you will provide patients with Adventure-Based Counseling and leisure assessments, education, and coordination/implementation of recreational activities.

Responsibilities:
Provide patients with Adventure-Based Counseling as it pertains to treatment of chemical dependency.
Conduct leisure assessments and provide education on various recreational activities.
Coordinate and implement a variety of recreational activities for patients.
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and patients.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy or related field and current certification (CTRS) or other recognized National Certification.
Experience working with adult and adolescent chemically dependent individuals.
At least one year of experience in the field of behavioral health.
Valid Alabama driver's license and a safe driving record.
Ability to see at 20/40 corrected in each eye and hear (hearing aid acceptable).
Ability to work in a cooperative manner with colleagues, managers, clients, and prospective clients.

Working Conditions:
Must be able to walk, run, bend, and stand continuously for approximately 3 to 4 hours per 8-hour shift.
Must be emotionally and physically capable of functioning under stressful situations.
Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness to perform the job in a safe manner.
