Job Description

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will perform diagnostic radiological imaging procedures as directed by providers or radiologists. You will provide timely and quality service to patients, following Imaging Department policies to maintain a safe and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines
  • Identifies patients with two identifiers and documents accurately all needed aspects of the procedure
  • Observes and communicates with patients, responding to needs and maintaining a safe patient environment
  • Performs procedures with a high degree of accuracy and demonstrates knowledge of diagnostic equipment
  • Provides accurate clerical functions, including using electronic medical records and imaging storage and retrieval systems
  • Communicates with supervisors and team members, reporting problems, issues, or ideas
Required Qualifications
  • Vocational or Technical Training graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology program
  • 0 to 2 years of medical imaging experience in Computerized Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional Radiology (IR), or Mammography
  • Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
  • Mammography advanced registry (M) within one year of hire, if working in that specialty area
Physical Demands

Medium Work: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently
