Server Assistant Job Description

At STK Steakhouse, we're looking for a skilled Server Assistant to join our team. As a Server Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare beverages to maintain quality standards consistently
  • Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift
  • Promptly greet guests and bring water to the table
  • Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for the next course
  • Clean table tops, chairs, and booths between seatings
  • Check the floor and clean as required, resetting and arranging tabletops
  • Clear tables after guests, taking tableware to the dish room and placing silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing
  • Inspect assigned restrooms every 30 minutes and clean as needed
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests, communicating guest requests to servers as needed
  • Communicate with servers and hostesses to ensure efficient seating, table utilization, and customer service
  • Assist servers as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods
  • Thank guests as they leave
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
Requirements:
  • Be able to read, write, and speak English
  • No consumption of alcoholic beverages while working
  • Be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Be able to work on your feet for long periods of time
  • Be able to lift more than 20 lbs
  • Be able to carry a tray and stack plates
