Specimen Collector

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Specimen Processor to join our team at TridentCare. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and processing medical specimens, ensuring accuracy and quality control throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and inspect medical specimens for correct identification and testing requirements.
- Label and aliquot specimens as needed, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Prepare specimens for shipment to reference laboratories, adhering to strict quality control protocols.
- Discard expired specimens and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Operate laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, and perform quality control checks.
- Enter client and specimen data into our computer system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with clients and phlebotomists regarding specimen requirements and turnaround times.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior laboratory experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in data entry software.
