Job Summary
The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist contributes to the smooth functioning of the Imaging Department by preparing for and performing various exams, such as x-rays, EKGs, hearing tests, and spirometry, depending on the site.
This role involves working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient exam procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Operate imaging equipment, such as x-ray machines and EKG machines, to capture high-quality images.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient exams and procedures.
