Job Summary:

The Nurse Case Manager will work closely with insurance carriers, medical care providers, attorneys, employers, and employees to coordinate and manage the care of injured workers. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and plan care for injured workers, including developing and implementing individualized care plans
  • Coordinate and manage the care of injured workers, including scheduling appointments and communicating with healthcare providers
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of injured workers, including tracking outcomes and reporting results to employers and insurance carriers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in case management
Requirements:
  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
  • Experience in case management of workers' comp cases, preferred
  • Recommended certifications (CCM, CRRN, CDMS, CRC) preferred
  • Skills required for success: organization and timeline adherence skills, PC and technology skills, communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
  • Ability to operate autonomously with minimal oversight
  • Skilled at patient education
  • Valid Driver's License, and good driving history
