About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plant Operator to join our team at Daniels Health. As a Plant Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient treatment of medical waste at our facility in Westland, MI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain large machinery, including the Weighbridge, autoclave, and Washsmart system.
  • Load and unload waste containers, and operate a forklift and hand trucks.
  • Perform tasks that require physical stamina, including lifting up to 55lbs and pushing a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200lbs.
  • Provide accurate and detailed documentation of waste processing activities.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to achieve efficient and timely scheduling.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a labor-intensive job, with a proven track record of longevity with previous employers.
  • A can-do attitude and commitment to efficient and timely scheduling.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
