Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at SSM Health. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and supporting the surgical team in the Operating Room.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare equipment, supplies, and resources for surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to implement a plan of care that prioritizes patient needs and ensures timely and effective treatment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and surgical outcomes.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of a surgical technician program or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties in a standing position for extended periods, with frequent lifting, bending, and pushing/pulling of equipment and supplies.
Work Environment

This role is based in the Cardiac Catheterization department at SSM Health, with a scheduled weekly hours of 0. As a Surgical Technician, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and support the surgical team in the Operating Room.
