Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Junior Actuarial Analyst plays a crucial role in assessing financial risks by estimating liabilities and setting premium rates. This position involves extracting, analyzing, and synthesizing data from diverse sources to pinpoint potential risks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the formulation of Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) estimates and conduct rate adequacy evaluations. Ensure all assumptions are well-documented.
  • Evaluate outcomes to detect early indicators of trends or issues related to healthcare expenses.
  • Conduct actuarial analyses focused on healthcare costs and emerging trends.
  • Create and disseminate regular reports to aid in IBNR calculations, pricing strategies, and financial disclosures.
  • Gather and compile data from various systems to facilitate informed decision-making at the executive level.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports and analyses for senior leadership; effectively convey findings.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics is required.

Experience Requirements

0-1 Year of relevant experience is expected.

Licensure and Certification

Candidate must have successfully completed at least one actuarial examination.

Preferred Experience

Internship experience of 2 years is advantageous.
