Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Mid-level Estimator with Maritime experience to join our corporate Estimation team. The successful candidate will manage the compilation of construction cost estimates and schedules based on plans and specifications to provide our clients with accurate information for budgeting purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Review plans, specifications, and related documents to understand project requirements
- Produce estimates based on clients' needs, including parametric and built-up estimating methods
- Complete quantity take-offs to estimate materials needed to complete the construction job
- Estimate crew composition, production rates, and labor costs
- Build labor burden tables using applicable tax percentages and hourly fringe benefits
- Estimate the duration of a given project
- Estimate costs of construction delays
- Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes
- Complete constructability reviews of plans and specifications
- Prepare basis of estimate reports
- Supervise and coordinate with subconsultants
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in construction estimating related to Maritime projects
- Experience in constructability and costing for transportation construction industry
- Knowledge of American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE) Cost Policies
- Excellent communication skills
- Availability and willingness to travel
We offer a competitive salary range of $112,500 to $138,000 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
