Advanced Analytical Instrument Technician Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Analytical Instrument Technician to join our team at Scientific Calibration Inc. in Cary, NC.

As a leading service provider for calibration, validation, maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment, we strive to provide unmatched service and support to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Routine calibration and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment, including chromatography and automation/liquid handling systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs both in-house and at client sites.
  • Execute PM's and Qualifications on advanced analytical instrumentation.
  • Develop new methods and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with management and colleagues to advance capabilities of the Service Department.
  • Regularly scheduled out-of-town travel required up to 30% of the time.
  • Complete service paperwork accurately and timely.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Associated Science or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of hands-on laboratory equipment calibration/validation experience.
  • Strong analytical thinker with an electromechanical inclination.
  • Proficient Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to train/educate Jr. Level Service Technicians.
