Key Responsibilities
  • Operate tractor-trailer combinations to transport and deliver products, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions, ensuring accurate routes and schedules.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and optimize delivery times.
  • Report any defects, accidents, or damage to the vehicle or cargo.
  • Secure equipment for transport, using appropriate restraints and safety measures.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid, and minor repairs.
  • Inspect loads before and after transport to ensure physical condition.
Requirements
  • Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements.
  • At least 1 year of commercial driving experience, preferably in heavy haul oil or gasoline transport.
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to obtain HAZMAT certification within 30 days.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment
