Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Medical University of South Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in microbiome-related and immunological studies, including in vitro 2D and 3D cell culture, generation of iPSCs and organoids, cell engineering, cancer biology work, and experimentation using humanized and conventional animals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in microbiome-related and immunological studies, including in vitro 2D and 3D cell culture, generation of iPSCs and organoids, cell engineering, cancer biology work, and experimentation using humanized and conventional animals.
  • Perform microbiological, immunological, and molecular analyses of mouse and human samples, develop novel therapeutic approaches, and test methods.
  • Analyze and validate data, conduct literature searches, prepare reports and manuscripts, and contribute to the development of research projects.
  • Collaborate with junior members of the lab and contribute to other research projects.
Requirements
  • PhD/MD or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent research skills and experience in microbiome-related and immunological studies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a laboratory setting, with frequent exposure to chemicals, biological agents, and other hazardous materials. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities is essential.
