The focus is on delivering National Air Space (NAS) services to both enroute and terminal air traffic control for commercial airlines and general aviation within a specified jurisdiction.

Reporting Structure: The incumbent will report directly to a District Facilities Manager (DFM) and will oversee the operations of at least one organizational unit or project within a significant subdivision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the workforce, ensuring effective planning and communication of the organization's vision and objectives.
  • Set priorities, assign tasks, and monitor performance while fostering employee development through coaching and training.
  • Handle employee leave requests and enforce performance standards, including the evaluation of work performance and recommendations for awards.
  • Participate in budget planning by assessing short-term and long-term resource needs and justifying requirements.
  • Identify training needs for staff and coordinate necessary developmental and operational training.
  • Address and resolve employee complaints at the informal level, escalating serious issues as necessary.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of technical, budgetary, and administrative policies to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to interpret policies and discuss project statuses.

Qualifications: To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-I, FG/GS-13 in the Federal Service. This experience should include a thorough understanding of technology system interrelationships and management of aviation systems.

Additional Information: The selected candidate may be subject to a background investigation and will need to comply with the Department of Transportation's Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.
