The Final Inspection role at Air Industries Group is critical in ensuring the highest standards of quality for our products. This position involves a thorough mechanical evaluation of products in accordance with established protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct mechanical inspections of products to verify compliance with documented standards. This includes both physical assessments and review of accompanying documentation.
- Report any inspection failures, deviations, or non-conformances to the Quality Assurance Director.
- Perform inspections on all incoming and outgoing materials to ensure quality integrity.
- Adhere to written instructions as outlined in company procedures and specifications.
- Examine batch records to confirm adherence to relevant procedures, documentation, and specifications.
- Carry out mechanical inspections to ensure compliance with documented processes, including verifying process execution, paint thickness, and temper verification.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and standards to assess quality status.
- Maintain accurate documentation and inspection results in a timely and consistent manner.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement within the quality program.
- Complete all required documentation accurately.
- Conduct measurement and final visual inspections.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in final and in-process inspection of aircraft detail parts and structural assemblies is preferred.
- An associate degree or equivalent education and experience is required.
- Familiarity with the calibration of inspection tools is a plus; training will be provided.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools and reading blueprints is advantageous.
