Job Overview

We are seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Playing and Learning Therapy.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position is estimated to be between $75,000 and $85,000, depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct standardized tests to accurately diagnose communication disorders and determine eligibility for services.
  • Develop customized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of students.
  • Document daily notes, write comprehensive reports, and attend IEP meetings and team conferences.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure effective implementation of treatment plans.
Requirements
  • A valid Illinois state license for practicing speech therapy is required.
  • A Professional Educator License (PEL) is also necessary.
  • Previous experience in speech therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience working with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
  • A positive, flexible, and collaborative demeanor is required.
