Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Southwest Louisiana. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and achieve their full potential. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing specialized treatment plans, communicating patient progress, and documenting patient care in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve maximum independence and functionality.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and goals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry advancements.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
