Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncology Specialist to join our team at US Oncology, Inc. in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina. As an infusion RN, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our cancer patients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. As an infusion RN, you will administer chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications under the direction and supervision of a physician. You will assess and monitor therapy of patients using appropriate technical skills, including assessing patients for changes in condition, performing venipuncture, and maintaining central venous access devices.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as directed by a physician
• Monitor patient condition and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Perform laboratory tests and analyze results to determine patient response to treatment
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Document all aspects of patient care in electronic medical records

Requirements

• Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited program required
• Current RN state license required
• BCLS certification required
• OCN certification preferred
• 1+ year of experience in oncology or related field preferred
