Salary and Benefits

Job Description

As a Driver, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Delivering supplies to construction sites using a single-axle truck with a flatbed
• Maintaining a clean driving record and adhering to OSHA, DOT, and H&K Safety policies
• Developing skills and knowledge related to single-axle truck maintenance and operation
• Performing pre-trip inspections and explaining what is inspected and why
• Maneuvering and controlling the vehicle in a safe fashion, including signaling, searching for hazards, controlling speed, and lane positioning

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Class B CDL with at least 1 year of single-axle driving experience
• A clean driving record
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including movement, lifting, and other relevant tasks

Preferred Skills and Experience

Prior experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries is highly desirable. Additionally, manual transmission experience and MSHA, OSHA, or other relevant safety certifications are preferred.

Work Environment

You will work regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, frequently exposed to vibration, and occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. Noise levels may be loud in certain situations.
